CapCut template vs AI maker
Lamine Yamal CapCut template or an AI maker? An honest comparison
Most people found the Lamine Yamal rabona remake through a free CapCut template. It works, and for a lot of people it is the right choice. This page puts the template and our maker side by side, plainly, so you can pick the one that fits your phone, your photo and your patience.
Updated Oct 18, 2026: a side-by-side table of the free CapCut template and our maker, and when each one is the better pick.

Your first video $5.99 · then $9.99 a video (10 credits), or 35 for $99

The short answer
Both put you into the same viral semi-rabona clip. The free CapCut template is a good choice if you already have CapCut, are happy editing in the app, and like how the template looks. Our maker is the better pick if you do not want an app, only have one photo, or want to make it in a phone browser: we recreate the trend clip with you on the ball, keeping your face, hair and the clothes from your photo, while the defender in red/orange #17 slides past and misses exactly as in the original. Ours costs money (a Single is $9.99); the template does not.

- 2026-10-18Added the count behind the page: 148 of 185 AI remakes we found were CapCut template or "how to make it" posts.

The honest start
Yes, the free CapCut template exists
Let us get this out of the way. The Lamine Yamal rabona trend was born as a CapCut template. Lamine Yamal's semi-rabona against Galatasaray on 14 Oct 2026 went round TikTok as a broadcast clip, and within two days people were remaking it with templates.
We counted the AI remakes posted from 14 to 18 Oct 2026. There were 185 of them, with 16.5M plays between them. 148 of the 185 were CapCut template posts or "how to make it" posts. One template alone showed up in 89 posts, and a second one in 32. So if you have seen a friend in the rabona on your feed, there is a good chance it came from a template.
We are not going to explain how to use the template here. CapCut has its own help, and the template posts on TikTok show it. This page is only about choosing between the two.
The comparison
CapCut template vs our maker, side by side
Templates differ from one creator to the next, and CapCut changes its app often. Where we are not sure how something works on the CapCut side, we say so instead of guessing. Everything in our column is how the maker works today.
| Free CapCut template | Our maker | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free to use in the app | Single $9.99 (1 video). Packs: $29 for 5, $99 for 35, $199 for 90, $499 for 300 |
| App needed | Yes, CapCut | No. Runs in any browser, including on a phone |
| Account | Depends on the app; check CapCut | Not needed to pay. The video is emailed to you; you can sign in later |
| Works on desktop | Depends on the CapCut version you use | Yes, in a desktop browser, and on a phone |
| What you put in | Whatever the template asks for | One photo |
| What comes out | The trend clip with you in it, made in the app | The trend clip recreated with you on the ball: 8 s vertical, 9:16, 720p, AI-generated |
| Your face and hair | Depends on the template | Kept from your photo; small in frame, as in a wide match shot |
| Your clothes | Depends on the template | Kept from your photo: you play in your own outfit |
| The camera and defender | Set by the template | The same as the trend clip: wide, high camera and the defender in red/orange #17 |
| Sound | Set by the template | Stadium sound: crowd, no commentary |
| Time | Depends on you and how much you edit | About 3 minutes to render after payment |
| If it fails | You try again yourself | Failed renders are never charged; credits come back automatically |
The table is long, but the main difference is short. Both give you the same clip people know, with you in it. The template is free and lives inside an app. Our maker is a paid service in a browser that needs one photo and keeps your face, hair and clothes from it.
Pick the template if
When the CapCut template is the better pick
- You already have CapCut on your phone and know your way around it.
- You want to spend nothing. The template is free; we are not.
- You like the exact look of the template posts you have seen, and you want yours to match them.
- You enjoy editing: adding your own text, trimming, swapping music. A template is a starting point you can play with.
- You are making a lot of versions for fun and do not mind doing the work in the app each time.
None of this is a trick to send you back here. If two or three of those points describe you, the template is probably the right tool, and you can stop reading.
Pick the maker if
When our maker is the better pick
You do not want an app
Some people do not have CapCut, cannot install apps on a work or school phone, or just do not want another app for a ten-second joke. The maker runs in a phone browser. You open the page, add a photo, pay, and wait about 3 minutes.
You only have one photo
You need one clear photo with the face visible. That is all. A selfie works, a holiday shot works, a photo of your dad at a barbecue works, as long as he has said yes. A full-body or waist-up photo helps because the player is small in a wide shot, and the face still has to read. One person alone, face clear and front-facing, good light, nothing over the face.
You want the clip people know, with you in your own clothes
We recreate the viral semi-rabona clip with you on the ball. It is the same 8-second clip every time; only the person on the ball changes. You run onto the ball on the right wing, plant your left foot and swing your right leg wide behind it as if to hit a rabona. You do not strike. The defender in the red/orange number 17 shirt slides in and misses. You cut inside and carry on toward goal. Same wide, high camera as the trend clip, with stadium sound.
You keep your face, your hair and your clothes from the photo. If you upload a photo in a hoodie, you play in the hoodie. That is often the funniest part. To be honest about the limit: it is a wide match camera, so think highlight reel, not close-up.
You want it done for you
There is nothing to line up and nothing to export. If a render fails, you are not charged and the credits come back on their own. If you want to see the move first, the semi-rabona meaning page takes it apart leg by leg.
The maker
How our maker works, in three steps
- Upload one clear photo of yourself or of someone who said yes.
- Pay at checkout. No account needed; the video is emailed to the address you pay with.
- About 3 minutes later, download your 8-second vertical clip with stadium sound and post it.
One person per photo. Group photos, side profiles, blurry or dark photos and pets don't work. No celebrities, no footballers, no public figures. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to agree and do the upload. Photos are deleted after 30 days. When you are ready, make yours.
Price
What it costs, next to free
Free beats any price, so here is ours in plain numbers. One video uses 10 credits.
| Option | Price | Videos | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single | $9.99 | 1 | 10 |
| Duo Pack | $29 | 5 | 50 |
| Crew Pack | $99 | 35 | 350 |
| Studio Pack | $199 | 90 | 900 |
| Label Pack | $499 | 300 | 3000 |
Pack credits never expire. There are also optional monthly plans at $29.90, $49.90 and $99.90 (100, 300 and 800 credits), which you can cancel anytime, but you do not need one. A pack makes sense if you want a clip for every friend in a group chat; the friends video page has ideas for that. Full details are on pricing, and the refund policy covers failed renders.
Small print, in plain words
A few fair notes on both
Neither option shows the real Lamine Yamal doing anything. Both put you into the same clip. Ours is AI-generated, not a real recording: the person on the ball is the one in your photo, never Lamine Yamal or any real player, and you cannot pick another scene, angle or outfit beyond the clothes in your photo.
We are an independent site. We are not affiliated with CapCut, Lamine Yamal, FC Barcelona, Galatasaray or UEFA. Template creators are not connected to us either. For more on who we are, see about. For the full story of how the trend spread, from the match to the AI wave, see the rabona trend page.

Questions about the CapCut template and our maker
Is there a free Lamine Yamal CapCut template?
Yes. The rabona trend took off on TikTok through CapCut templates, and you can use them in the CapCut app at no cost. Of the 185 AI remakes we counted from 14 to 18 Oct 2026, 148 were template or "how to make it" posts. If you already use CapCut and like the result, that is a fine way to do it.
Why would I pay if the CapCut template is free?
You might not need to. Both put you into the same viral clip. People pick our maker when they do not have CapCut, do not want to install an app, only have one photo, or want the player to keep their face, hair and the clothes from that photo. If none of that matters to you, use the template.
Do I need CapCut or a TikTok account to use this site?
No. The maker runs in your phone or computer browser. You upload one photo, pay at checkout, and download the video. You can even pay without making an account: the video is emailed to the address you pay with, and you can sign in afterwards.
Can I do the Yamal rabona AI with my own photo?
Yes, that is what the maker is for. Upload one clear photo of yourself, or of someone who has said yes. We recreate the viral semi-rabona clip with you on the ball, keeping your face, hair and the clothes from the photo. One person per photo; pets don't work, because the clip needs a person on the ball.
Does the video show Lamine Yamal?
No. The video shows the person in your photo on the ball, never Lamine Yamal or any real player. The pitch, the defender in the red/orange number 17 shirt, the camera and the moves stay as they are in the trend clip. It is AI-generated, not a real recording.
How long does it take compared with editing in CapCut?
Our render takes about 3 minutes once you have paid. With a template, the time depends on you, your phone and how much you tweak. Both are quick; ours just has fewer steps on your side.
How much does it cost?
A Single is $9.99 for one video (10 credits). Packs are $29 for 5 videos, $99 for 35, $199 for 90 and $499 for 300, and pack credits never expire. There is no subscription unless you want one, and failed renders are never charged.
Is this site connected to CapCut, Lamine Yamal or Barcelona?
No. We are an independent site. We are not affiliated with CapCut, Lamine Yamal, FC Barcelona, Galatasaray or UEFA.
No app? One photo is enough
Upload one photo and get the viral 8-second semi-rabona clip with that person on the ball, in their own clothes, with stadium sound. About 3 minutes. Failed renders are never charged.
